Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician in Foster City, CA to support the Sensor Engineering and Advanced Hardware teams. The role focuses on wiring harness design, rack builds, and lab operations, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and documentation.

Candidates should have 3+ years in electronics labs or hardware roles, proficiency with wiring diagrams and crimping, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers competitive hourly pay with benefits.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of hands-on lab, bench technician, or data center hardware experience with electronics.
Experience designing and building wiring harnesses, reading wiring diagrams, and crimping automotive-grade connectors.
Experience racking and cabling servers and network equipment from detailed rack diagrams.
Strong hand tools, measurement equipment, AC/DC safety knowledge, and ESD handling.
Ability to lift and move rack equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Design and build wiring harnesses for HIL test benches and rack builds.
Rack, stack, and wire test assets following layout diagrams for signal integrity and accessibility.
Own day-to-day lab operations: inventory, staging parts, safety protocols.
Troubleshoot hardware faults and reproduce complex failures with test engineers.
Maintain build documentation: pinouts, BOMs, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, revision histories.
