Job summary

DeWinter Group in Foster City, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to build, maintain, and optimize sensor emulation and test infrastructure for autonomous systems. You will work hands-on with hardware, wiring harnesses, and test benches in a dynamic lab to help validate hardware and software.

The role requires 3+ years in a lab or bench environment, an associate degree or technical electronics certification, experience in wiring harness design, rack assembly, and safe electrical

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on lab/bench experience with hardware
• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in electronics/electromechanical tech or equivalent
• Proven wiring harness design and assembly experience with automotive-grade connectors
• Experience in racking, cabling servers, and managing structured cabling
• Proficiency with hand tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and ESD safety practices
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test wiring harnesses for HIL test benches and rack assemblies
• Rack, wire, and organize test assets including compute nodes and network gear
• Manage daily lab operations—stocking parts, inventory, and tool organization
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and collaborate with test engineers to resolve failures
• Maintain wiring diagrams, BOMs, rack layouts, and revision histories
