MSA Safety is seeking a technical co-op in Pittsburgh to support electrical design and PCB development. You will capture schematics, layout complex multi-layer PCBs, generate Gerber files, and coordinate with fabrication services.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related engineering.
• Must be ABET-accredited program and have completed at least one sophomore semester.

Responsibilities

• Completes schematic capture and net list generation of electrical designs using the Altium Design tool
• Develops printed circuit board (PCB) layout of complex multi-layer and rigid flex circuit board designs
• Completes PCB Gerber file generation, ordering, and design file coordination with fabrication house
• Drives PCB development for prototype/proof-of-concept for electrical designs
• Completes surface mount component rework of printed circuit boards and component replacement as needed
• Runs and documents electrical and system tests
