Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, packaging, integration and testing of electrical/electronic systems for Combat Vehicle platforms. You will guide an IPT, coordinate with industry experts, and drive technical excellence across disciplines.

The role emphasizes leadership, system-level thinking, and collaboration with customers and internal teams. A hybrid work approach is available with on-site collaboration and onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field; eight years of relevant experience or six years with master's degree.
• Ability to plan, monitor and lead multiple technical projects concurrently.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; effective leadership and communication skills.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams for Combat Vehicle Programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, packaging, integration and testing of electrical/electronic systems for Combat Vehicle platforms.
• Plan and manage resources across virtual teams to meet project obligations and objectives.
• Prepare, monitor and control budgets and schedules; report on technical, cost, and schedule status.
• Present and defend technical results to customers and internal management.
• Conduct or lead requirements development, architecture development, interface management, verification and validation.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and manage technology initiatives (IR&D/CR&D).
