Superior is offering an Electrical Engineering internship in Columbus, Ohio. You will work under our engineering team to gain exposure to project coordination, software tools, data collection, and field verification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interest in electrical design and construction.
• Willingness to participate in training and field visits.

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise document files for construction projects across industries.
• Create engineering calculations and documents using Revit, AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, AmpCalc, and MS Office.
• Prepare studies for short circuit, o/c device coordination, arc flash, duct bank conductor ampacity, and cable pulling.
• Participate in training on software, codes, specifications and design practices.
• Visit construction jobsites to assist with field investigations and drawing verification.

Superior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our program during the Spring term (January - April). When you join Superior, you join a leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.

Under the guidance of our Engineering team, the Electrical Engineering will gain exposure to project coordination, computer-assisted engineering software, data collection, and so much more. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and revise document files for a variety of construction projects that span multiple industries
• Create engineering calculations and documents using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, AmpCalc, and Microsoft Office
• Produce engineering studies for short circuit, overcurrent protective device coordination, arc flash hazard, duct bank conductor ampacity, and cable pulling
• Participate in training that will build your capabilities with industry-specific software programs, governing design and construction codes, specification writing, and design practices
• Visit our various construction jobsites to assist with field investigations, drawing verification, and more
