Job summary
Superior is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Columbus, Ohio. You will be responsible for producing all aspects of engineering design and construction deliverables from concept to completion as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
The role requires 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical construction, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and a strong foundation in NFPA/NEC codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting engineering or electrical construction.
- PE certification in the State of Ohio is a plus.
- Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and related codes preferred.
- Experience in heat calculations and MV cable pulls
Responsibilities
- Produce engineering deliverables including drawings and specifications.
- Review construction documents and advise on constructability, design improvements, value engineering, and scope gaps.
- Lead design-build pursuits/projects with defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Create energization and electrical performance methods and procedures.
- Assist with equipment testing and energization and perform root cause analysis.
- Interface with field teams, VDC, Estimating and Prefabrication; provide site observations and RFIs.
