Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Ingalls Shipbuilding division seeks a senior Electrical Engineering leader to manage a team of engineers and designers. You will develop power, lighting and machinery control system requirements and oversee procurements and vendor data to ensure contract compliance.

The role involves preparing bid estimates, providing technical guidance, and managing budgets and schedules across complex shipboard projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Professional registration with 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct reports of Electrical Engineers and Designers.
• Develop Power, Lighting and Machinery Control system requirements.
• Oversee major procurements and vendor data (SDRLs/CDRLs).
• Prepare estimates for new contract bid proposals and advance bills.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Establish budgets and schedules; monitor progress and performance.
