Job summary

Sealed Air designs and delivers packaging solutions, and seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the R&D Systems Engineering group in Streetsboro, Ohio. You will manage a team of electrical, automation, and controls engineers, guiding development from concept through manufacturing release and ensuring regulatory approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with leadership, people management, and project management responsibilities.
• Proficiency with PLC and related automation controls software, ControlLogix, DeviceNet and EtherNet applications, HMI Hardware and Software, and related controls technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing R&D Electrical Engineering team across electrical, automation, and controls disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership for the design, development, validation, and implementation of electrical and control system solutions.
• Define project scope, priorities, resource plans, and timelines to ensure successful execution of R&D initiatives.
• Make sound, independent decisions and effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while taking ownership of issues and driving timely resolution.
• Identify, attract, and develop talent through internal and external recruiting efforts, including active participation in succession planning.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality requirements, methods, policies, and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the quality and performance of products delivered to customers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, regulatory, and performance requirements.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 20%.
