Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a Building Services Engineering Manager in the West Palm Beach area to lead electrical engineering for complex building systems, including power, lighting, emergency power, renewables, fire alarm, communications, security, and low-voltage systems.

You will ensure designs meet codes, client requirements, and quality standards while guiding a team, reviewing calculations, and supporting project delivery. Relocation assistance is provided up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience in a MEP consulting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active PE or EIT in Florida; if PE in another state, able to obtain Florida PE within first year of employment.
• Experience managing electrical engineering staff, designers, CADD/BIM technicians, and discipline production workflows.
• Ability to serve as Engineer of Record with signing and sealing responsibilities for electrical engineering projects.
• Willingness to travel for site surveys, project scope walks and meetings, about 30% of the time.
• Strong technical knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, emergency and standby power systems, generators, transfer switches, UPS systems, grounding, fire alarm, low voltage systems, communications, access control, security, renewable energy systems, and building

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design, coordination, and delivery of complex building systems.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor schedules and budgets; ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices; contribute to proposals and technical scopes.
• Support business development through client relationships and scope/cost estimation.
