Job summary

MP Design Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for diverse Gulf Coast projects. You will own design from concept to construction, coordinating with architects, clients, and engineers to deliver power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and access control systems.

You'll perform one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and specifications, applying lighting calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis, while mentoring junior staff and shaping the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of electrical design experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP is a plus.
• Working knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of building electrical systems across projects.
• Take ownership of electrical design from concept through construction.
• Develop one-line diagrams, branch circuits, panel schedules, and specs.
• Perform lighting calculations, short-circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis.
• Conduct field investigations and evaluate existing conditions for practical solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to keep projects moving.
• Review submittals, support construction administration, and advise through project closeout.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of MP's electrical practice.
