JSK Recruiting, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for a large, automated packaging operation in Bedford Park, IL.

This hands-on leadership role oversees the electrical team, including a supervisor and controls engineer, to design, install, and optimize electrical systems across a one-million-square-foot facility. The role requires deep technical depth and leadership presence to drive projects from design through execution, while aligning with NEC, NFPA 70, and SQF standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent of 10+ years in manufacturing electrical project engineering.
• PLC programming and controls troubleshooting experience essential.
• Experience with high-voltage systems (13.8kV, 480V) and MCCs preferred.
• Hands-on electrical design including drawings, scoping, sizing, and calculations.

Responsabilités

• Own the full electrical project lifecycle from design to closeout.
• Design and implement electrical/control systems for process and packaging equipment.
• Support and maintain high-voltage infrastructure.
• Serve as primary technical resource for production on electrical/PLC issues.
• Troubleshoot MCCs, control panels, SCADA, and automated systems.
• Maintain electrical schematics and ensure NEC/NFPA 70, Chicago Electrical Code, FDA, SQF compliance.
• Prepare electrical capital budgets, specs, RFQs, and BOMs for vendor bidding.
