Job summary

Orion Talent seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of electrical and controls engineers and designers supporting conveyor, material-handling, and industrial automation projects.

You will oversee electrical design, review Schematics and control drawings, and develop PLC/HMI/VFD and automation systems while ensuring safety and compliance across NEC, NFPA, UL, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR 7–10+ years electrical engineering experience.
• 3–5+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Experience with electrical schematics, control systems, and industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, UL, and OSHA requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineers, controls engineers, and designers.

• Manage engineering resources and prioritize multiple projects.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve system performance and reliability.
