Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing and delivering industrial control cabinets, controls engineering, or systems integration with leadership.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, VFDs, servo and motion control, networks, safety.
• Working knowledge of electrical design practices and applicable safety standards.
• Ability to create/review schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, IO lists, network architectures, test procedures.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools incl. SolidWorks Electrical; familiarity with EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical.
• SolidWorks Mechanical experience related to layouts and enclosure modifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team, setting priorities, resource plans, design practices, and performance measures.
• Own the engineering lifecycle from requirements and concept through design, verification, release, manufacturing support, commissioning, and improvements.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and standards (UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC, IEC, ISO).
• Lead design and risk reviews addressing power distribution, protection, grounding, thermal management, EMC, safety, guarding, and lifecycle support.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Production Engineering to standardize libraries, templates, and reusable software.
• Drive cost reduction and value engineering through design simplification and supplier qualification.
• Manage relationships with panel builders, suppliers, and engineering partners.
• Prepare budgets, capacity plans, roadmaps, KPI reports, and leadership recommendations.
• Travel ~20% as needed.
