Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is hiring an Electrical Engineering Manager for our R&D client in Marietta, OH. You will lead a global team of electrical engineers and embedded software engineers, driving development of scalable control platforms and regulatory-compliant products.

The role requires extensive experience in embedded firmware (C/C++) and real-time control systems, with a focus on electromechanical products and cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Five+ years leading embedded hardware and software teams.
• Three+ years designing and developing embedded control systems for electromechanical products.
• Experience with regulated industries (medical devices, lab equipment, or industrial controls).
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through product development.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers and real-time control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of electrical engineers, embedded software engineers, and engineering technicians.
• Provide technical leadership for embedded firmware, hardware, sensing technologies, communications, and control algorithms.
• Develop scalable, modular control platforms that support future product innovation and platform reuse.
• Lead embedded controls development through the complete product development lifecycle.
• Ensure embedded designs meet regulatory, safety, and certification requirements (UL, IEC, CE, CSA, etc.).

Yoh is hiring a Electrical Engineering Manager for our Research and Development client in Marietta, Ohio.

Job Functions:

• Lead a global team of electrical engineers, embedded software engineers, and engineering technicians.
• Provide technical leadership for embedded firmware, hardware, sensing technologies, communications, and control algorithms.
• Develop scalable, modular control platforms that support future product innovation and platform reuse.
• Lead embedded controls development throughout the complete product developent lifecycle.
• nsure embedded hardware and software designs meet applicable regulatory, safety, and certification requirements including UL, IEC, CE, CSA, and other applicable standards.
• Partner with project managers to develop project schedules, staffing plans, and budgets.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Masters Degree preferred

Experience Requirements:

• Five or more years leading embedded hardware and software engineering teams.
• Three or more years designing and developing embedded control systems for electromechanical products.
• Developing products for regulated industries such as medical devices, laboratory equipment, or industrial controls.
• Experience with embedded firmware development using C/C++.
• Strong understanding of embedded system architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time control systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through product development.
• Experience developing thermal control systems, refrigeration controls, or other precision electromechanical systems.

Estimated Min Rate: $98000.00

Estimated Max Rate: $140000.00
