Job summary

Cooper Consolidated seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician Lead to direct electrical maintenance for cranes, barges, and terminal operations along the lower Mississippi River. You will lead a team, establish standards, and manage projects to optimize uptime and safety.

The role requires strong PLC, SCADA, and power distribution expertise, with a focus on reliability and regulatory compliance in a marine cargo-handling environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 7 years’ experience in industrial electrical maintenance, including 3 years supervisory/management.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical maintenance personnel through coaching, training, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Establish and maintain electrical maintenance standards, procedures, best practices, and reliability programs.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for electrical systems.
• Provide technical expertise for power distribution systems, motor controls, drives, PLCs, automation systems, and crane controls.
• Direct troubleshooting efforts, root cause investigations, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance of electrical systems (OSHA, NFPA, lockout/tagout).
