Job summary
Cooper Consolidated seeks an Industrial Electrician to lead electrical maintenance for cranes, barges, and shore-powered equipment across marine terminals along the Lower Mississippi River. You will supervise maintenance staff and coordinate capital projects to improve reliability and safety.
The role requires strong knowledge of power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and automation systems, plus adherence to OSHA and NFPA standards in a demanding marine setting.
Qualifications
- 7 years in industrial electrical maintenance with 3 years in supervision.
- Experience in waterfront or shipyard operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical maintenance personnel through coaching and training.
- Develop maintenance standards and reliability programs.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance for electrical systems.
- Provide technical expertise for power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, automation.
- Direct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure OSHA/NFPA and marine regulation compliance.
- Manage contractors and capital projects.
- Coordinate resources to maximize uptime and performance.
