Job summary

Morgan Engineering seeks a seasoned professional to lead overhead crane control upgrade projects and perform advanced electrical troubleshooting. You will manage projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring safety compliance and cooperation with customers and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has deep drives, PLCs, and industrial control systems expertise, plus proven leadership and project management capabilities. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and hands-on crane electrical experience.
• Experience with overhead crane electrical systems, drives, and PLCs.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead overhead crane control upgrade projects from planning to commissioning.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues on cranes and related equipment.
• Configure, program, and maintain PLCs, VFDs, and control components.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and technicians to ensure success.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians and maintain thorough reports.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and company policies; document work.
