Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support and advance our building electrical engineering practice. You will lead the design of building power, emergency/standby systems, lighting, NFPA-compliant fire alarms, and low-voltage networks for food and beverage facilities.

Responsibilities include documenting calculations, producing bid documents, procuring long-lead equipment, and mentoring team members. Travel ~25–35% to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related 4-year degree.
• 8–11 years in electrical systems for building power and related disciplines.
• Experience in lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for buildings.
• Experience with bid documents and procuring electrical equipment.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for building power, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Document calculations: short circuit, coordination, voltage drops, etc.
• Produce bid documents and procure long-lead equipment.
• Assist with fieldwork, project planning, and department standards.
• Mentor teammates and participate in hiring when needed.
