Dennis Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design building power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for food processing facilities across the country. The role includes client interaction, lead engineering duties, and delivering comprehensive bid documents and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related 4-year degree.
• 8+ years of work experience in electrical systems for building power.
• 8+ years of work experience in electrical bid documents and procuring electrical materials and equipment.
• 8+ years of work experience in AutoCAD, Revit or other related design programs.

Responsibilities

• Designing electrical systems for building power distribution (208v, 480v, MV) for industrial facilities.
• Designing lighting for food processing spaces with emergency/inspection lighting considerations.
• Designing fire alarm systems per NFPA 72, 101, and local building codes.
• Specifying means, methods, equipment, and grounding.
• Reviewing scope with client and producing bid documents (layout drawings, one-lines, risers, schedules).
• Project planning, feasibility studies, and department-wide standard development.
