Job summary
Dennis Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design of building electrical power systems for food and beverage facilities. You will scope, perform, and deliver concurrent projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
The role requires extensive experience with 208/480V systems, NFPA standards, and coordination with multiple trades. Travel up to 25-35% is expected, with opportunities for mentoring and technical leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related 4-year degree.
- 8-11 years of work experience in electrical systems for building power.
- 8-11 years of work experience in electrical bid documents and procuring electrical materials and equipment.
- 8-11 years of work experience in AutoCAD, Revit or other related design programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead in designing electrical systems for building power distribution for industrial facilities.
- Document calculations for design such as short circuit, arc flash, and load calculations.
- Design lighting for food processing spaces and coordinate fixture placement with trades.
- Design fire alarm systems per NFPA and local codes.
- Produce bid documents including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
