Job summary

Arconic is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the global electrical engineering network. You will provide expertise across rolling, finishing and process control, oversee capital projects, and drive reliability and safety standards at multiple facilities, with travel to sites as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of metals manufacturing electrical experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of AC/DC drives, PLCs, and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15 years of electrical engineering experience within a metals or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Electrical engineering experience with AC/DC Drive systems, motors, control systems and automation.
• Experience leading capital and expense projects in a factory environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• This position may require access to export controlled technology and ITAR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Arconic-wide Electrical Engineering Network and supervise MTE engineers/techs.
• Own Corporate Standards for Electrical Systems and Electrical Safety.
• Provide expertise on control systems for metals processing (rolling, coiling, leveling).
• Support production operations and maintenance for rolling and finishing facilities.
• Lead problem solving for significant electrical downtime events.
• Oversee medium voltage distribution and transformer maintenance activities.
• Manage electrical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
