Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Global Rolled Products Operations team. The role focuses on reliability improvements to support the Lancaster Mill business plan and provide engineering support to production, maintenance and administrative groups.

You will work under the Operations Superintendent with a dotted line to Engineering, manage projects from concept to start-up, and drive cost control, safety documentation and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or project management experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services to meet the Lancaster Mill business plan with production, maintenance and administrative departments.
• Coordinate all project phases from concept to start-up and close-out.
• Assist with equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective.
• Develop 5-year budget scope, quotes, and cost estimates for projects.
• Safely manage project budgets from $10,000 to $5,000,000.
• Oversee engineering/design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Generate project schedules and monitor spend and safety documentation.
