Tampa Electric Company is offering a TECO Energy Cooperative Education Program internship for Spring 2027 (ECPM, Engineering). The role provides practical engineering experience under Energy Delivery engineers, supporting a variety of technical projects and coordinating with contractors.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil engineering, with a GPA of 3.0+.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a university co-op or internship program is required or the student will be considered an intern.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
• Preferred disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil engineering.
• Sophomore or higher status is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support projects from TEC Energy Delivery system expansion, government agencies, developers, and private entities.
• Assist in engineering, estimating, programming, and mapping input for project design and reviews.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, and bills of material.
• Coordinate projects within Electric Delivery’s Project Management process and liaise with contractors.
