Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 across Boise, ID; Kansas City, MO; or Minneapolis, MN. This full-time internship targets undergrad/grad students, running a 12-week program starting May 17, 2027.

You will assist with low- and medium-voltage distribution design for industrial facilities, including calculations, modeling, and Revit, gaining hands-on project experience.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and desire to grow skills.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with diverse audiences.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with low- and medium-voltage distribution design for industrial facilities.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Assist in preparing final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to safety policies.
