Mattel is seeking an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern for our El Segundo, CA office. You will work on end-to-end electronics, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration with product engineering, design, packaging, and operations teams to bring toy ideas to life.

The internship offers hands-on experience in analog and digital circuits, firmware development, and interaction with non-technical partners, with mentors guiding your growth and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at an accredited university as a rising senior, graduating in 2028.
• Majoring in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with product development within the toy industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes based on input from non-technical partners.
• Assist in energizing toy concepts with animation and personality.
• Assist in creating end-to-end electronics from schematics to firmware services.
• Work cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Design, Packaging and Operations.
• Provide hands-on experience in design, prototyping, and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.
