Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Southfield, MI. You will assist with design tasks, update engineering drawings, and support lead engineers on varied projects across Power, decarbonization technologies, and related markets.
The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, ABET preferred, and current enrollment with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned. Specific assignments and project work vary depending on the market segments. Please see below for information on each market:
The Power group is responsible for the planning, design, and startup of power generation and decarbonization technologies. This includes gas turbines, utility-scale battery storage, hydrogen electrolysis, carbon capture technologies, solar, and nuclear plant services.
$20.50-39.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
