Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Student Intern for our Minneapolis, MN office. You will gain exposure to electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems across building and site infrastructure projects.

You will work under engineers to perform calculations, read drawings, and gain hands-on experience with design tasks such as panelboards and wiring diagrams, while developing independent task execution and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited BSEE program.
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher; strong communication skills requested.

Responsibilities

• Understand electrical power, lighting, control, and communications systems for building/site projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings; perform calculations under supervision.
• Coordinate with vendors; conduct field site visits; support drafting and clerical tasks.
• Assist in design tasks such as electrical system modeling, lighting/power calculations, and panelboard schedules.
