Job summary

WSP USA is offering a summer internship in Electrical Engineering (Substation) to be based in Foxboro, MA or Freeport, ME. This 12-week program begins May 17, 2027, with exposure to real projects and mentorship from senior staff.

As part of the Developing Professionals Network, you will gain hands-on experience, participate in design calculations, and contribute to project documentation while building professional connections.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; basic proficiency with office software.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical, social, and ethical skills through engineering tasks.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
