Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. You will assist with electrical and lighting system design for diverse building types, mentored by Professional Engineers, and engage with clients to develop concept-level plans.

You'll gain experience in power distribution, calculations, and coordination with other trades while contributing to project deliverables and learning advanced software tools in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Engineering from an accredited program
• Completion of at least two years of collegiate coursework
• Must live within a commutable distance from the office
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Responsabilités

• Support engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for building electrical and lighting systems
• Coordinate designs with other trades (architectural and engineering) under supervision
• Engage with clients, evaluate their needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions
• Take ownership of design work, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness under guidance of senior staff
• Use relevant software and data collection tools to support project progress
