Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team in Bend, Oregon. You’ll support design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for building electrical and lighting systems on diverse projects, mentored by Professional Engineers.

You’ll gain hands-on experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools, coordinate with architectural and engineering trades, and progress from basic tasks to more complex assignments as you grow.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Engineering.
• Completion of at least two years of collegiate coursework.
• Must live within commutable distance from the Bend, OR office.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for electrical and lighting systems.
• Coordinate with other trades (architectural and engineering) during design development.
• Provide design calculations and related services under supervision of senior staff.
• Assist with project coordination, data collection, and software tools usage.
• Progress from basic design tasks to more complex assignments with mentorship.
