Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to join our Life Sciences North America team in various locations, including Cary, NC. You will work on projects spanning power systems, renewable energy, lighting, fire and life safety, and vertical transportation, under professional mentorship.

You’ll handle design tasks and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver accurate, timely results. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Electrical Engineering bachelor’s program, proficient with

Qualifications

Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

Responsibilities

Design tasks including power systems planning, renewable energy, distribution, lighting, and life safety systems.
Coordinate with other trades (architectural and engineering) to integrate designs.
Progress from basic design tasks to more complex projects under mentorship of engineers and senior staff.
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work.
