Job summary

WSP USA invites you to join its Madison, WI office as an Electrical Intern for the 12-week Summer Internship Program starting May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects, develop technical, social, and ethical skills, and gain exposure to Electrical Engineering fundamentals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Electrical Engineering undergraduate program, able to work 18 years old, and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program with anticipated graduation May 2028 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and desire to advance skills related to WSP’s projects.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
• Able to take direction from leadership and mentors to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing and office software.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
