Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Rock Island, IL for a 10–12 week summer internship to support engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers, manage project budgets, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, and gain hands‑on experience on healthcare and MEP projects aligned with energy‑efficient design.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with design consulting is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems.
• Assist with design portions of projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Support project budgets and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet goals and client expectations.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client communications promptly.
