Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Minneapolis, MN. You’ll assist in the analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems for the building industry while collaborating with a team of engineers on real project work.

This internship includes documentation, coordination, and periodic field observations, supporting projects in education, government, and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement
