Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern in our Asheville, NC office to assist with layout work, calculations, and documentation under supervision. A hands-on learning environment focuses on electrical systems design for building and infrastructure projects.

The intern will gain experience using engineering software and participate in data collection, site visits, and project deliverables while developing core professional skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and building electrical design.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work both with a team and independently.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical system layouts and basic calculations under supervision.
• Support electrical design tasks including power distribution and lighting plans.
• Help prepare design documents, specifications, schedules, and project reports.
• Review drawings, equipment schedules, and project specs for accuracy.
• Assist with site visits and document existing electrical systems.
