Coffman Engineers in Dallas is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Fall/Winter 2026/27. You will help design electrical, lighting and telecom systems for buildings and industrial facilities while learning from experienced engineers in a fast-paced office environment.

The ideal candidate is a local student enrolled in an engineering program with coursework in electrical engineering, strong communication skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in an engineering program.
• This position is for local students and not remote.
• Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate or masters electrical engineering degree.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of AutoCAD.
• Ability to work up to 30 hours during the school break; schedule flexibility provided during the semester.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineering team in designing electrical, lighting and telecom systems for buildings and industrial facilities.
• Gain proficiency in AutoCAD and related design tools under professional supervision.
• Contribute to a fast-paced project environment in Coffman Engineers' Dallas office.
