Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will work under the direct supervision of Electrical Engineers and will be exposed to multi-disciplinary projects across civil, mechanical, and electrical work, with CAD design and documentation exposure.

Responsibilities include supporting engineers, CAD designers, cost estimates, and final reports while developing procedures and standards. Travel up to 20% may be required; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as a sophomore or junior.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and develop professionally.
• Ability to work extra hours and possible overtime when projects demand.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% depending on project needs.

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027!
The intern will work under the direct supervision of Electrical Engineers. This person will be exposed to a variety of internal and external stakeholders in conjunction with key electrical engineering techniques and processes. This person will also be exposed to a variety of projects related to facilities design, construction management from inception through delivery. Typically, these projects will be multi-disciplinary covering civil, mechanical, and electrical work.

Responsibilities:

• Work on multiple assignments; work independently; communicate and interface effectively while working in a team environment
• Assist engineers and CAD Designers with completing project design documentation, calculations, research, CAD drawings and/or reports
• Assist engineers in developing standard operational department procedures and drawing standards and details
• Assist project engineers and CAD Designers in preparing project cost estimates, reports and design documents
• Assist engineers in preparation of final reports, department procedures, techniques and standards

Requirements:

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22-$26/hr.
