Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will work under the direct supervision of Electrical Engineers and engage with internal and external stakeholders on a range of electrical engineering techniques and processes.

Projects will span facilities design, construction management from inception to delivery, often covering civil, mechanical, and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as a sophomore or junior.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and develop professionally.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple assignments; communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Assist engineers and CAD designers with project design docs, calculations, research, CAD drawings and reports.
• Assist engineers in developing standard procedures and drawing standards and details.
• Assist project engineers and CAD Designers in preparing cost estimates, reports and design documents.
• Assist engineers in preparing final reports, procedures, techniques and standards.

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027!

The intern will work under the direct supervision of Electrical Engineers. This person will be exposed to a variety of internal and external stakeholders in conjunction with key electrical engineering techniques and processes. This person will also be exposed to a variety of projects related to facilities design, construction management from inception through delivery. Typically, these projects will be multi-disciplinary covering civil, mechanical, and electrical work.

Responsibilities:

Work on multiple assignments; work independently; communicate and interface effectively while working in a team environment

Assist engineers and CAD Designers with completing project design documentation, calculations, research, CAD drawings and/or reports

Assist engineers in developing standard operational department procedures and drawing standards and details

Assist project engineers and CAD Designers in preparing project cost estimates, reports and design documents

• Assist engineers in preparation of final reports, department procedures, techniques and standards

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as a sophomore or junior status
• Proficient in MSOffice suite

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong organizational skills

Ability to learn quickly and develop professionally

• Ability to work extra hours and possible overtime when projects demand
• Willingness to travel up to 20% depending on project needs

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated hourly range for this position is$22-$26/hr.
