Job summary

AAA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our growing team in Chicago. You will manage project execution, ensure technical quality, mentor engineers, and engage with clients across transit, road, and institutional facilities.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET‑accredited EE degree, a PE license, and 15 years of experience including 4 in management. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, AGi 32 or Microstation, and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 4 years in management.
• Proficiency in electrical design software: Revit, AutoCAD, AGi 32, Microstation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Oversee the design and development of electrical systems for facilities.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and related standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources with quality deliverables.
• Serve as primary technical contact for clients and proposals.
