Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027 in our Philadelphia, PA office. This Drexel University program positions students to gain hands-on experience on real projects while working with senior staff.

Ideal candidates are actively enrolled in Electrical or Architectural Engineering through Drexel, with anticipated graduation August 2027 or later, and will learn design, field work, and Autodesk Revit to model components. No housing relocation is provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Electrical or Architectural Engineering program through Drexel University with graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Interest in Electrical Engineering related field and ability to advance skills for WSP projects.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills for engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from leadership and mentors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn power distribution, lighting design, and low-voltage designs.
• Read and interpret building plans and electrical diagrams.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Learn Autodesk Revit to model electrical, lighting and low-voltage systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on drawings and specifications.
• Travel to job sites to survey existing buildings and progress.
