Job summary

WSP USA's Property & Buildings Team is seeking a Full-Time Mechanical Engineering Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027 in our Philadelphia, PA office. Undergraduate or Graduate student enrolled through Drexel University will gain hands-on experience on real projects alongside senior staff.

The co-op will support HVAC design, read building plans, use Revit (and AutoCAD preferred), perform design calculations, travel to sites as needed, and learn industry codes. Start dates flexible; no housing provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering undergraduate program through Drexel University with an expected graduation August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Mechanical Engineering and desire to advance skills relevant to WSP projects.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of mechanical engineering tasks and preliminary design calculations.
• Learn Autodesk Revit to model mechanical airside and hydronic systems.
• Review building plans and mechanical diagrams with senior engineers.
• Support field work and travel to job sites as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and project documentation processes.
• Occasional travel may be required; no housing relocation provided.
