Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an Electrical Intern/Co-op in Raleigh to join our East Region Design Center.

You will contribute to electrical drawings and basic calculations under the guidance of project engineers, collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality, technically sound designs. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and some experience with Revit or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities across Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal markets (power distribution, lighting, communications, security).
• Support, coordinate, and work closely with multidiscipline design teams.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and design for layout plans and power one-line diagrams.
• Assist Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
