Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern/Co-Op to join our Building Engineering Services Group in Raleigh, NC. The intern will assist with design of facilities related structures and work with a multidisciplinary team through planning to construction administration.

We welcome students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate engineering programs who show strong problem-solving and communication skills and are familiar with Revit and structural analysis tools. Local candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of facilities related structures in support of multiple markets.
• Support and coordinate with multidiscipline design team through life cycle of projects.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and calculations, and review shop drawings.
• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Collaborate with mentors and young professionals programs.
