Job summary

Schaeffler’s Co-op Electrical Engineering position in Troy, MI offers hands-on experience in engine/chassis research and development. You will collaborate daily with engineering teams on innovative projects, including mechatronics integration, circuit design, and sensorics, while developing industry knowledge in a global technology leader.

Eligible students gain exposure to HiL environments and future opportunities within Schaeffler's manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results.
• Ability to prioritize.
• The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds.
• Exhibit a willingness to learn.
• Assertive approach to solving problems.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship skills with an ability to collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed.

Responsibilities

• EE integration of mechatronics systems and components.
• Circuit design and analysis/testing; PCBA prototyping, wiring schematics.
• Market research of EE products, benchmark, and documentation.
• Interfacing teams and cross-functional collaboration to complete tasks.
• Work independently and be open to instruction.
• Development opportunities through projects, job-rotation, and training.
