Job summary

Schaeffler is offering a Fall 2027 Co-op in Mechanical Engineering at the Troy, MI campus. The role provides hands-on experience in engine or chassis related projects, collaborating with the engineering team on testing, teardown analysis, and cross-functional tasks.

You will work on development opportunities through rotations, projects, and training, while pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with a 2.5 GPA minimum. The program emphasizes innovation and practical industry exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; maintain GPA 2.5+ per semester.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• 3D CAD modeling experience preferred.
• Mechanical hobbyist preferred.

Responsibilities
