Job summary

Siemens Healthineers offers a hands-on Electrical Engineering Co-op positioned to empower motivated students to develop hardware and software skills. You will design PCB assemblies, work on FPGA designs, and create test fixtures while documenting results and contributing to release readiness.

The role includes developing supporting tools and scripts, performing integration testing, and handling defect reports with verification of fixes. Calibration work and field return analysis may be involved.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (rising senior preferred).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
  • Registered and eligible to participate in a co‑op through your university.

  • Development of low complexity printed circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures.
  • Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies.
  • Development of engineering tools, databases, websites, and hardware infrastructure needed to support the engineering environment.
  • Integration testing of new hardware/software releases with thorough documentation of test results and written report summary.
  • Creation of defect reports and verification of fixes.
  • Calibration and field return analysis.

As an Electrical Engineering Co‑op, you will be responsible for:
  • Development of low complexity printed circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures.
  • Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies.

Education focus in the following areas:
  • Signal processing, analog or digital circuit design.
  • Working knowledge and use of computer system hardware, operating systems, application software, drivers and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and test equipment is considered a plus.
  • Experience with FPGA hardware and programming in VHDL is a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
