Job summary

Siemens Healthineers invites an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join a global team in the United States. You will contribute to the development of low complexity PCB assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures, and you will help create test firmware and scripts for automated testing of assemblies.

You’ll also support engineering tools and infrastructure that keep the environment productive. The role requires coursework in electrical engineering, good PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering (rising senior preferred).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
  • Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university.

Responsibilities

  • Development of low complexity printed circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures.
  • Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies.
  • Development of engineering tools, databases, websites, and hardware infrastructure needed to support the engineering environment.
  • Integration testing of new hardware/software releases with thorough documentation of test results and written report summary.
  • Creation of defect reports and verification of fixes.
  • Calibration and field return analysis.

What you need to know and be ready for
  • You have completed courses in core electrical engineering concepts.
  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
  • You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and skills related to circuit design, PCB development, FPGA programming and other design methods.
Required skills and education
