Job summary

Andis Company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern/Co-op for Spring 2027 in Racine, WI. The role involves full-time, primarily onsite work with potential for some remote options, starting January.

The intern will support the Electrical Engineering team with testing, design changes, documentation, and analysis across batteries, circuits, and components, using CAD tools and programming microcontrollers in C.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited technical school or university pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Experience with circuit/PCB design software such as KiCad, Eagle, or Altium; circuit simulation tools LTSpice or Multisim; AutoCAD and SolidWorks are a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical materials and write Engineering Change Notices and business correspondence; present information to engineers and peers.
Strong mathematical foundation including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

Perform product testing: voltage, current, temperature, and more.
Conduct motor testing for speed, torque, power, and efficiency.
Test Lithium-Ion batteries and PCB functionality.
Evaluate components (FETs, BJTs, MCUs, charge controllers) and document results.
Program microcontrollers using C or similar languages.
Create test reports highlighting outcomes and root causes.
