Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in packaging engineering/science.
• Basic understanding of packaging and manufacturing concepts.
• Completed entry-level packaging courses.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks, Artios, ArtiosCad, TOPs or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Andis Core Values in all activities.
• Maintain open communication and build relationships within and beyond engineering.
• Design consumer-driven packing for manufacturability, inspectability, and cost optimization.
• Reviews and qualifies packaging dyeline files from external suppliers and printers.
• Coordinates prototype models to evaluate new design concepts with suppliers.
• Generates comprehensive protocols for analyzing and testing packaging.
• Identifies, follows, and documents appropriate ISTA testing procedures.
• Creates and revises component drawings as well as associating BOMs with most up to date specifications.
• Manages the circulation of packaging documentation for various functional approvals.
• Participates in project teams & assist in meeting stage gate deliverables.
• Completes competitor benchmarks document current packaging data
• Assists with production floor challenges as needed.
