Job summary

Emerson offers a hands-on co-op opportunity for electrical/computer engineering students in the United States. You will rotate through Engineering Lab, CAE, and Product Engineering, assisting with feasibility studies, CAD design, and development of new products alongside engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities include testing with lab equipment, building PCB prototypes, and creating schematics. Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's in electrical/computer engineering, be eligible to work

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided.
  • GPA consideration and return for multiple co-op rotations are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests using various lab equipment.
  • Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies.
  • Create schematics and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD.
  • Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.

Education

Bachelor's degree (pursuing) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field
